Restaurants
Gower has a wide selection of pubs, restaurants and bistros to choose from but here are some of our favourites:-
The Welcome to Town, Llanrhidian – 8 miles from the cottage.
Nestled in the picturesque village of Llanrhidian on the North side of Gower, the Welcome to Town is a real gem! The Welcome has recently undergone a major re-furbishment and is definitely worth a visit! It is open from 12 o’clock daily for food and drinks and is great for a lunchtime snack or for a special occasion.
The Oxwich Bay Hotel – 7 miles from the cottage.
The Oxwich Bay Hotel enjoys an idyllic location set beside the stunning Oxwich Beach. The hotel has a pretty beer garden overlooking the bay where you can enjoy a glass of wine. The menu serves a mouth-watering variety of freshly prepared local dishes prepared by a dedicated team led by head chef Dan Williams. The service is always friendly, the food is consistently delicious and dogs are welcome in certain parts of the hotel. Our favourites are the mussels and chunky chips, the Oxwich Bay Burger and the fabulous Sunday lunches!
The Bay Bistro Rhossili Gower, Rhossili – 1.7 miles from the cottage.
The Bay Bistro and Coffee House is in the most beautiful spot on Gower – with panoramic views over Rhossili Bay. They serve a wide range of food and drinks, as much as possible sourced locally and everything is freshly prepared. Lovely homemade cakes! It is an excellent place to eat.
Beachhouse (Bistro, Oxwich Beach) – 7 miles from the cottage
This restaurant is in the unique position of literally being on Oxwich beach! It enjoys panoramic views across Oxwich Beach and of Three Cliffs. It has a large terrace facing the sea. There is plenty of fresh fish on the menu here – as you may expect!
Fairyhill, near Reynoldston – 5 miles from the cottage
This lovely Gower country house sits in 24 acres of beautiful, wooded grounds and gardens, with a fabulous sun terrace at the back. Delicious menus with the finest local ingredients. This is definitely the place for a special occasion. Fairyhill has been ranked as one of the ten best restaurants outside London by the Daily Telegrah. We would agree! Visit the website.
The Langland Brasserie, Langland – 14 miles from the cottage
Although a 25 minute drive from the farm, The Langland Brasserie is still one of our Gower favourites! The restaurant is owned by a local Italian family, so there is always plenty of good pasta options on the menu. Also, they serve a good selection of fresh fish and offer a choice of roasts on Sunday. We love the relaxed, stylish atmosphere and the amazing views out over Langland Beach.
Britannia Inn, Llanmadoc – 7 miles from the cottage.
Boasting awe-inspiring views over the Loughor Estuary, the Britannia Inn is situated in the picturesque village of Llanmadoc on the North Coast of the Gower Peninsula. This one is a real favourite of our guests.
